お茶は海路で伝わった国では「tea」、陸路で伝わった国では「chai」として伝わった。（中国語ではお茶を「chá」と呼ぶのに対し、福建省の港と台湾では「te’」と発音するから）
ということは日本はchaiからchaになったのかな？
